Alternate Commissioners description

This committee meets annually to compile a budget for approval by the membership.

This committee reviews and recommends changes to the ByLaws, Standing Rules, or Operating Manual, as needed. Changes to the ByLaws and Standing Rules are then brought forth to the membership for approval.

Lodge members are asked to submit recommendations twice per year for charities they would like to see us donate to. The charity committee meets twice per year to discuss these recommendations and allocate funds amongst them. Occasionally, the committee will need to meet additional times if there is any follow-up needed for any of the recommendations or if the committee would like to meet regarding guidelines or the decision-making process.

This committee is responsible for communication both internally to the lodge members and externally to the public. Our avenues of communication are email (via Mailchimp), Facebook, Instagram, and our website. Members of this committee can volunteer for things such as proofreading; selecting articles, posts, and photos for the Facebook and Instagram pages; making suggestions for updating the website; or helping curate the monthly newsletter. The committee meets as needed, but usually informally meets via email, text, or phone as needed for projects.

This committee was very recently renamed the Cultural Events Committee. The committee meets 6-8 times per year to plan the cultural events for the lodge. Members are also asked to volunteer to help set up or assist with various events.
